My piano cover of the song Promise (Reprise) from the Silent Hill 2 OST.
I first heard this song from the movie while I was in high school
(blasphemous, I know) and learned about 80% of it then. Fast-forward
about 13 years and I finally got a chance to sit down and play-through
Silent Hill 2 for the PS2 (via emulator) with Jess! I got to see where
this awesome track originally came from and the context in which it was
used. That renewed my energy and made it so I'd put in the remaining
work to learn the last 20% (which felt like it was 90% of the work
honestly).

I tend not to record my piano live very often as it puts a lot of
pressure on me to play perfectly, and doesn't allow me to fine tune
anything after the fact in my "studio", but I figured this was the kind
of piece that needed the "real piano" feel and love. I added in some
background choir sound effects after the fact during the middle to add in
some atmosphere to match the original track.
